ABSTRACT
The paper characterizes the layout of air temperature in the area of Poland in the years 1991-2000. In comparison with the normal period (1961-1990), the value of mean annual air temperature increased by 0.6 deg. C. The highest increase in temperature was noted in January & in February, respectively by 1.9 deg. & 1.5 deg. Celsius. In the west of Poland mean air temperatures in winter (Dec. to Feb.) are above zero.

Scharakteryzowano rozkład temperatur powietrza na obszarze Polski w latach 1991-2000. W porównaniu do okresu normalnego 1961-1990 temperatura wzrosła w Polsce o 0,6ºC. Największy wzrost temperatury średniej wystąpił w styczniu i lutym odpowiednio 1,9 i 1,5ºC. Na zachodzie Polski temperatura miesięcy zimowych (XII-II) jest dodatnia.
