ABSTRACT
The paper presents the comparison of particle size distribution of 22 soils measured by the areometer and the laser diffraction methods. Data obtained by these methods were not identical and one cannot compare them without using suitable conversion factors. Equations of regression presented in the paper permit the comparison of results from both methods. The results obtained ought to be treated as preliminary and constituting an announcement of further research on more extensive soil material.

W pracy przedstawiono porównanie rozkładu granulometrycznego 22 gleb zmierzonego metodą areometryczną i metodą dyfrakcji laserowej. Dane uzyskane tymi metodami nie były identyczne i nie można ich porównywać bez zastosowania odpowiednich przeliczeń. Przedstawione w pracy równania regresji pozwalają na porównywanie wyników z obu metod. Uzyskane wyniki należy traktować jako wstępne, stanowiące zapowiedź dalszych badań na szerszym materiale glebowym.
