The mycological investigations were carried out in three soil profiles representing the slightly mucked peat-muck soils. All the sampling stations were located in the Narew National Park. The aims of the studies were the recognition and comparison of the quantitative-qualitative structures of fungal communities in chosen soils. The samples for mycological examinations were taken from two different layers of soil profiles in the July of 2002. During the investigations the 558 isolates were obtained, which were represented by 17 various species. The similarity between quantitative-qualitative structures of fungal communities was rather low or the common features of the communities were not observed. This suggests that the constitution of fungal communities in the post-bog soils depends not only on the soil-forming process.
