Conductometric method for evaluation of plants frost resistance

ABSTRACT
Modified conductometric method of plants frost resistance evaluation is shown in this work. The conductometric determination of electrolyte leakage from the frost-affected cells was used to estimate actually frost resistance of cultivable plants. The index of injury was calculated and plotted as a function of temperature to estimate the temperature at which 50% of tissue was damaged. These research results might lead to explain some phenomena of low temperature influence on plants.

W pracy przedstawiono metodykę zmodyfikowanej, konduktometrycznej metody oceny mrozoodporności roślin. Podstawą tej metody są pomiary przewodnictwa elektrycznego roztworu powstałego w wyniku umieszczenia, przemrożonych w różnych temperaturach, roślin w probówkach z wodą. Mrozoodporność ocenia się na podstawie obliczonego indeksu uszkodzeń i wyznaczonej na tej podstawie temperatury, w której nastąpiły pięćdziesięcioprocentowe uszkodzenia tkanek.
