The region of the Lublin Polesie is an area in the Voivodeship of Lublin where the natural environment is well preserved. Hence, on-going care is given to its ecological future as well as the need for discussing the future with a view to its comprehensive development. Maintaining a balance between economic projects and the natural environment are among the more crucial issues. The present survey describes these issues and gives them appropriate shape. Numbered among the characteristics of the Lublin Polesie region are its raw mineral deposits, waste, water and sewage management; the conditions of the underground water and the air purity have been presented. A strategy for ecological activities in the very near future was elaborated on the basis of actual Voivodeship surveys and the 30 years' professional experience in ecology of the present author. Realisation of the above strategy will ensure the sustained development of the region preserving the appropriate conditions of all the natural resources on the one hand, and ensuring the indispensable economic development and the development of tourism on the other. The final conclusions were drawn by the present author. They will form the recommendation for any business entities and organisations active in the region of the Lublin Polesie for several decades to come.
