ABSTRACT
In this paper the principles of the theoretical background and technical methodology of eddy-covariance method were described. Some details about aims and methodology connected with bioclimatological investigations were discussed. Special attention was paid to modem measuring techniques of mass and energy exchange between active surfaces and the atmosphere. The principles of operation of closed-path and open-path gas analyzers as well as the sonic anemometer were presented. The measurement system used for eddy covariance method was described.

W artykule przedstawiono teoretyczne podstawy pomiarów strumieni masy i energii metodą kowariancji wirów. Przedyskutowano kilka faktów związanych z metodologią prowadzenia badań bioklimatycznych. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na najnowsze techniki pomiarów strumieni energii i masy wymienianych powierzchnią czynną a atmosferą. Przedstawiono szczegóły funkcjonowania analizatora gazowego o otwartej ścieżce optycznej oraz anemometru akustycznego. Opisano zasadę działania systemu mierzącego metodą kowariancji wirów.
