ABSTRACT
The paper presents dates of commencement and completion of thermal seasons in the region of Zamość in the years 2001-2008. The series of measurements were taken from the meteorological station of the Department of Environment Protection and Management, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences in Zamość, University of Life Sciences in Lublin. The beginning of each thermal season was determined by average daily values of air temperature: 0.5 and 15oC. The results of the research were compared with the publications of other authors. It was noticed that the dates of the beginning and durations of thermal seasons had changed. Thermal early spring, spring and summer began earlier in the analysed period, while autumn, forewinter and winter began later.

W pracy przedstawiono daty rozpoczęcia i zakończenia termicznych pór roku w okolicach Zamościa w latach 2001-2008. Do ich wyznaczenia wykorzystano pomiary temperatury powietrza wykonywane w Stacji Meteorologicznej Katedry Ochrony i Kształtowania Środowiska Wydziału Nauk Rolniczych w Zamościu. Za początek wystąpienia każdej z pór roku przyjęto średnią dobową wartość temperatury równą 0, 5 i 15°C. Wyniki badań porównano z pracami innych autorów. Na tej podstawie stwierdzono, że nastąpiło przesunięcie dat wystąpienia niektórych pór roku oraz zmiana długości ich trwania. W analizowanym okresie termiczne przedwiośnie, wiosna i lato wykazują tendencję do wcześniejszego pojawiania się, a jesień, przedzimie i zima do późniejszego.
