Selected characteristics of air temperature and atmospheric precipitation in the Lubelszczyzna Region - Volume II

The present study is a continuation of earlier work, published in 1995 in the series The Natural Environment of the Lublin Region Climate, volume I: Air temperature and precipitation in the Lublin region (1951-1990). The 41 maps of that showed the spatial distribution of the mean values of air temperature and the precipitation sums in the Lublin region over months, seasons and years. The present study (volume II) shows the seasonal and annual spatial distribution of the following temperature and precipitation characteristics in the Lublin region: – mean maximum air temperatures (maps 2-7, Table 2), – mean minimum air temperatures (maps 8-13, Table 3), – absolute maximum daily air temperatures (Table 4), – absolute minimum daily air temperatures (table 5), – number of frost days (with maximum temperature 0°C) (maps 14-15, Table 6), – number of cold days (with minimum temperature 0°C) (maps 16-17, Table 7), – number of hot days (with maximum temperature 25°C) (maps 18-19, Table 8), – number of days with precipitation 0,1 mm) (maps 21-26, Table 10), – number of days with precipitation 1,0 mm) (maps 27-32, Table 11), – number of days with precipitation 10,0 mm) (maps 33-38, Table 12), – maximum daily precipitation sums (Table 13). In the analysis of temperature characteristics data from 17 meteorological stations and posts were used (map 1, Table 1), while in studying precipitation characteristics data from 82 stations and posts were considered (map 20, Table 9), covering the years 1951-1990.

Niniejsze opracowanie jest kontynuacją wcześniejszej pracy wydanej w roku 1995 w serii Środowisko Przyrodnicze Lubelszczyzny Klimat, tom I :Temperatura powietrza i opady atmosferyczne na obszarze Lubelszczyzny (1951-1990). We wspomnianej pracy przedstawiono na 41 mapach przestrzenny rozkład średnich wartości temperatury powietrza i sum opadów atmosferycznych na obszarze Lubelszczyzny w miesiącach, sezonach i roku. W prezentowanym opracowaniu (tom II) przedstawiono na obszarze Lubelszczyzny, w ujęciu sezonowym i rocznym, przestrzenny rozkład następujących charakterystyk termicznych i opadowych: – średnie maksymalne temperatury powietrza (mapy nr 2-7, Tabela 2), – średnie minimalne temperatury powietrza (mapy nr 8-13, Tabela 3), – absolutne maksymalne dobowe temperatury powietrza (Tabela 4), – absolutne minimalne dobowe temperatury powietrza (Tabela 5), – liczba dni mroźnych (z temperaturą maksymalną 0°C) (mapy nr 14-15, Tabela 6), – liczba dni chłodnych (z temperaturą minimalną 0°C) (mapy nr 16-17, Tabela 7), – liczba dni gorących (z temperaturą maksymalną 25°C) (mapy nr 18-19, Tabela 8), – liczba dni z opadem 0,1 mm (mapa nr 21-26, Tabela 10), – liczba dni z opadem 1,0 mm (mapa nr 27-32, Tabela 11), – liczba dni z opadem 10,0 mm (mapa nr 33-38, Tabela 12), – maksymalne sumy dobowe opadów (Tabela 13). Do analizy charakterystyk termicznych wykorzystano dane z 17 stacji i posterunków meteorologicznych (mapa nr 1, Tabela 1), natomiast przy opracowaniu charakterystyk opadowych uwzględniono dane z 82 stacji i posterunków meteorologicznych (mapa nr 20, Tabela 9), z lat 1951 1990.
